MEETING UPDATE
Our meeting on January 14th was very productive. Big thanks to everyone who attended! You can download the presentation if you missed it. We ask that all volunteers please fill out and return the volunteer information sheet if you haven't done so already.

IN THE NEWS
We were even on the news that night, on Fox at 10pm. We were also featured on DesignIsKinky.com which caused us to get about 500 more clicks on the site than usual. Keep up the good work and get the word out there!

PROJECT TEAMS
We've put together a list of project teams , which you should check out and join. Let Maya know if you would like to lead an initiative, and she'll be more than happy to add you and your group to the list. There's a ton of stuff that could be done beyond this list!

UPCOMING EVENTS
As for specific fundraising benefits, there are two coming up: one on Jan. 27th with the Friends of Aceh -- they have a space on the Lower East side but no performers. The other is Feb 27 at the Continental in the East Village. They have bands and were going to contribute to other charities but they are close friends and there are many ways we could collaborate with them.

We will also need people to design and print postcards explaining what we are doing to give out at events, leave at stores, and generally pass around to get the word out. Contact maya@phuketproject.org if you'd like to work on those specific projects.

SPEAK UP
We also have an email group on Yahoo! Groups and a bulletin board now, which you should help us populate and will help a lot with the planning. Members of the group should use the space to share ideas and connect with other volunteers. The group gets larger and larger by the day and we encourage people to connect with each other to work on projects, explore ideas, and raise monies for our efforts. Find other people near you and find your own creative ways to support the relief efforts.
